Heading into the second quarter of the year, 2015 is proving to be a year of growth and positive challenges within Samapro. We started the year with a company trip to the Berlin Fruit Logistica in Germany and joined Bioconservacion at their expo stand.
The 10 day trip to the Berlin Fruit Logistica allowed us to spend some time looking at new technologies in the industry, invest in new suppliers and to keep abreast of international trends. The goal of this trip was not only to find new suppliers who could assist when SA is out of season, but to cement the current relationships with existing clientele who we have serviced for the past 10 years.
Our partners in post- harvest production BIOCONSERVACION joined us at the logistica and were kind enough to accommodate us at their stand. The BIOCONSERVACION stand focused on the supply of their filters and temperature recorders and participated in presenting and explaining the benefits of Post-Harvest solutions for the entire distribution chain. This includes producers, retailer and exporters, shippers and logistical platforms.
Cold weather and busy days aside, we were lucky enough to head out and do some sightseeing. Some of our highlights include the hearty German cuisine, spending cold snowy evenings wandering around the Brandenburg Gates and enjoying some of the many specialties in the region.
